This 10 day Gorilla, Chimpanzee and Wildlife safari takes you to five of Uganda’s best national parks for game drives, boat cruises, and primate tracking. You will track rhinos at Ziwa Sanctuary, see the mighty Murchison Falls, and spot lions, elephants, and giraffes in Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth, and Lake Mburo parks. You will track chimpanzees in Kibale National Park and spend an hour with mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest. Cultural experiences include visiting a coffee farm, women weavers, and a local “banana man” who makes traditional banana drinks. The tour ends in Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
This small group tour is perfect for travelers who want to save money by joining a group. Whether you are traveling alone, as a couple, with friends, family, or coworkers, this tour is made for you.
If you book as a group of 4 or more, you can get special discounts.
The rooms are set up for two people to share, either as twin beds or a double bed. If you prefer a room all to yourself, you can pay a single supplement fee. But if you are traveling alone and are okay with sharing a room with someone of the same gender, you will not have to pay this extra fee: you just pay the regular price.

You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport. A driver will meet you and take you to your hotel in Entebbe. You can relax after your flight and prepare for the trip ahead.

You will drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will walk on foot with a ranger to see wild rhinos up close. After that, you will continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Before going to your lodge, you will visit the top of the falls, where you can see the Nile River squeeze through a narrow gap and drop down with great power. It is a great spot for photos and to feel the mist from the falls.

In the morning, you will go on a game drive to see animals like elephants, lions, giraffes, and antelopes. In the afternoon, you will take a boat cruise on the Nile River to see hippos, crocodiles, and the bottom of the powerful Murchison Falls. In the evening, you will do another game drive to look for animals that are more active as the sun goes down.

You will travel to Kibale National Park, famous for chimpanzees. In the afternoon, you will take a guided walk in the Bigodi Wetland and surrounding community. You will visit a local farm for a coffee experience, where you can see how coffee is grown and roasted, and even taste it. You will also meet a group of women weavers who make baskets and mats, and learn how their craft supports their families. Finally, you will visit the “banana man,” who will show you how bananas are used to make traditional banana gin, banana beer, and fresh banana juice, with a chance to taste them. This walk is a great way to experience local culture and support the community.

You will start your day with an early morning drive to Kibale National Park, which is famous for having the highest number of chimpanzees in Uganda. You will join a guided tracking expedition into the forest, where you will walk through the lush jungle listening for the calls of chimps. Once located, you will spend time watching them feed, play, and swing through the treetops. It is an incredible experience to see these intelligent primates so close in their natural home. After the trek, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will arrive in the evening and check into your lodge for the night.

You will start the day with a morning game drive to spot elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and early-rising predators. In the afternoon, you will take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects two lakes. Here, you will see huge numbers of hippos, crocodiles, and colorful water birds gathered along the shores. As the sun begins to set, you will go for an evening game drive to look for nocturnal animals like leopards and hyenas starting their night activities.

You will start your day with a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Via Ishasha sector to search for tree climbing lions. These lions are often seen resting on the branches of huge fig trees during the day. The drive takes you through winding hills, lush green countryside, and small local villages. As you get closer, you will see the thick, misty forest that is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. You will arrive at your lodge in the evening, ready for the big adventure ahead.

You will wake up early and head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the rangers. Then, you will hike into the dense Bwindi forest, following your guide as you search for a family of mountain gorillas. The trek can take a few hours depending on where the gorillas are, but once you find them, you will spend one magical hour watching them eat, play, and interact just a few meters away. It is a truly life-changing experience. After the trek, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi.

You will start your morning with a peaceful boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi, one of the deepest lakes in Africa. The lake is surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with 29 small islands, each with its own story. As you glide across the calm waters, you will see beautiful birds, local fishermen in wooden canoes, and lush green scenery all around. You can also visit one of the islands to learn about the local culture and history. After the boat trip, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park, a smaller but charming park known for its zebras, impalas, and peaceful atmosphere. You will arrive in the evening and check into your lodge.

You will start your final day with an early morning walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you will explore the park on foot, getting a unique and thrilling perspective of the wildlife. You will walk through the savannah and along the lakeshore, coming close to zebras, impalas, elands, and buffaloes in their natural environment. Your ranger will share interesting facts about the animals, plants, and tracks you encounter along the way. After the walking safari, you will return to your lodge for breakfast and then begin your drive back to Entebbe. You will stop for lunch along the way and arrive at Entebbe International Airport in time for your departure flight, bringing your unforgettable Ugandan safari to an end.

The safety of our guests and the protection of the wildlife we cherish are paramount. These are non-negotiable national park rules.
We maintain an intimate and high-value group dynamic for an exceptional safari experience.
Proper planning ensures smooth transit throughout your journey.
Uganda is a beautiful country with diverse, shifting landscapes, which means navigating between national parks involves considerable distance.
You should expect long travel times on transit days, with average driving times ranging from 5 to 8 hours between primary destinations. Some roads can be rough, unpaved, or bumpy.
We balance these transit days with early morning game drives and regular scenery stops to keep the journey engaging and comfortable.
Permit Deposit Policy: A deposit of $1,100 USD per person is required at the time of booking. This is non-refundable as it is used immediately to legally secure your official Mountain Gorilla ($800) and Chimpanzee ($300) trekking permits.
Important Note: Because the Uganda Wildlife Authority strictly caps the number of daily visitors to protect the primates, these permits sell out months in advance. Early booking is highly recommended.
