On your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will meet our company representative at the airport waiting lounge who will welcome you and thereafter drive you to booked hotel in Kampala the capital city of Uganda to check in at your reserved hotel, relax and then be briefed about your 7 days Uganda wildlife, gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari. After enjoying a fantastic breakfast, meet with your driver guide at the hotel reception to commence your journey to Lake Mburo National Park in western Uganda. Along the way, make a stopover at the Kayabwe Equator landmark to witness the water experiment, capture memorial photos, and savor a cup of coffee. Continue your drive through the remarkable landscape characterized by open grasslands, Ankole long-horned cattle, and local communities engaged in various activities such as farming and bricklaying.
Upon arrival at Lake Mburo National Park, check in at your reserved lodge, indulge in a delicious lunch, and take some time to relax. Later, embark on an evening game drive to encounter the park’s diverse wildlife. Home to over 68 mammal species including zebra, giraffes, elands, impala, and buffalo, as well as approximately 315 bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork and African fish eagle, the park offers a rich biodiversity to explore.
Following a short break, set out for an adventurous night game drive to spot nocturnal mammals and birds that are elusive during the daytime. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, meet with your driver guide and embark on a journey to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for a thrilling chimpanzee trekking safari. Upon arrival at the forest office, receive a briefing on the guidelines to adhere to during the trek. Kalinzu Forest Reserve boasts a rich biodiversity, housing various wildlife species including over 379 bird species, six primate species such as chimpanzees, olive baboons, and black-and-white colobus monkeys, as well as numerous butterfly, reptile, moth, and tree species.
During the guided walk in search of the intelligent chimpanzees, your knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the forest’s ecosystem. Upon encountering the chimpanzees, you’ll have the opportunity to observe them for a maximum of one hour, capturing photos and asking questions.
Afterward, return to your lodge to relax and enjoy lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat launch on the Kazinga Channel. As you cruise along the channel, marvel at the abundance of aquatic animals including Nile crocodiles and hippopotamuses. The channel is renowned for hosting the highest concentration of hippos in Africa. Additionally, spot numerous bird species and land mammals such as Cape buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and elephants.
Following a brief break, head out for an evening game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. With over 95 mammal species and 600 recorded bird species, the park offers abundant wildlife sightings, including lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards, and more. This game drive, will give you a chance to encounter those wildlife mammals and birds that you could have missed during your evening game drive like Lions, Warthogs, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Buffaloes, Elephants and then start your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park with an en-route game drive through ishasha sector in the southern part of the park to search for the tree climbing lions, Topis, have lunch and later drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park a home to half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas, about 120 mammals and 350 bird species. Bwindi impenetrable forest national park inhabits approximately 600 mountain gorilla individuals and about 19 well habituated gorilla families. Once briefed, gather your group and commence your forest walk in search of the majestic mountain gorillas. Along the trek, your guide will provide information about the diverse wildlife species and surroundings, enhancing the adventure.
The duration of the mountain gorilla trekking excursion varies but typically ranges from 30 minutes to 6 hours of walking in the forest. Upon encountering the mountain gorillas, you’ll have the privilege of spending a maximum of 1 hour with them, observing their behaviors, capturing photographs, and asking questions. This experience is truly a breathtaking wildlife encounter and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in Uganda.
After the trek, return to the starting point to collect your trekking certificate, enjoy refreshments, and have lunch. Following lunch, embark on a scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi, where you’ll spend the evening relaxing. Lake Bunyonyi is renowned for its tranquil waters, ideal for swimming as it is free from bilharzia and dangerous aquatic animals. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the serene beauty of Lake Bunyonyi.

After having your morning breakfast, go for a morning boat riding on Lake Bunyonyi to explore some of the beautiful Islands of the lake with the most exciting stories such as Akampene Island (Punishment) where the Kiga people used to punish girls who were found pregnant before marriage by leaving them there to death, Kyahugye Island, Bucuranuca Island and many others that whose stories will excite you. Return to your lodge, pick your bags and then start your return drive to Entebbe international airport with an en-route stop at Kayabwe equator landmark to have lunch, shop some souvenirs and then drive straight to Entebbe airport to meet your return flight with great experience of wildlife and Mountain gorillas in Uganda.
