Up on arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our tourist guide who will brief you about 3 Day Golden Monkey and Gorilla Tracking safari.

After drive to Volcanoes National Park. Visit Ibyiwacu cultural village for the cultural entertainment. Learn about the traditions of Rwanda people like dances, marriages and feel free to join the experience.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up and get dressed up in long sleeved shirts, pants, waterproof hiking shoes, walking sticks, insect repellent, enjoy your hot breakfast. Drive to Volcanoes National Park Visitor Information Center for briefing about Golden Monkey tracking. After briefing, you wil be assigned a guide to walk with in the forest. Golden Monkeys are endemic to the Virunga’s. These beautiful golden backed monkeys are fascinating to see. Enjoy them as they play, feed, found in the high-altitude areas.
After transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda for Gorilla Tracking. Check in for dinner and overnight stay.

Prepare for an extraordinary mountain gorilla trekking experience. Don long trousers, a shirt, waterproof shoes, jacket, hat, and gloves. After breakfast, meet your guide for a briefing at the park center. Grouped with eight, trek into the forest, following trails to find gorillas. Be prepared for challenging terrain and varying trek durations.

Encounter diverse wildlife, with insights from your guide. Upon meeting the gorilla family, enjoy a mesmerizing hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Respect their space, avoid direct eye contact with the dominant silverback, and maintain a calm demeanor if confronted.

After this intimate encounter, receive your trekking certificate as a token of appreciation for contributing to gorilla conservation. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation, canoeing, and bird watching. Dinner and overnight accommodations provide a peaceful conclusion to an unforgettable day of gorilla trekking and nature exploration.

On the final day of your safari, embark on a memorable morning canoe tour. Spend approximately 2 hours exploring the lake’s 29 enchanting islands with a knowledgeable local guide, who will regale you with intriguing stories about each island, including the infamous Punishment Island.

This historical site was used by the Bakiga community to discipline girls who became pregnant before marriage, shedding light on cultural practices and societal norms. Drift along the serene waters, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and the melodious chirping of birds. After transfer to Kigali International Airport and this marks the end of the safari.
