Enjoy a delightful lunch en route as you journey to the scenic Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri, where the wonders of nature await.

Prepare for a mountain gorilla trekking experience with long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, waterproof shoes, a jacket, a hat, and gloves. After breakfast, attend a pre-trek briefing at the park center. In a group of eight, you’ll track a specific gorilla family, guided by armed rangers. The trek duration varies from 45 minutes to 6 hours. Encounter wildlife like forest elephants, primates, and endemic birds, with your guide providing insights. Spend an hour observing the gorillas, respecting their space and avoiding direct eye contact with the silverback.
After the trek, visit Ibyawacu Cultural Village for a cultural extravaganza. Experience Rwanda’s traditions through dances, poems, and stories, learn about traditional dress, and witness cultural ceremonies. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.Overnight: Da Vinci gorilla lodge.

Set off at 7:30am for a briefing at the Volcanoes National Park offices after breakfast at your hotel. The hike up Mount Bisoke, taking 4 to 6 hours, starts at 8:00am. After the briefing, you’ll be driven to the starting point, as the Bisoke head trail is some distance from the park offices. The park authorities will provide a hiking stick. At the summit, enjoy the magnificent Crater Lake and stunning views of the Virunga ranges, Volcanoes National Park, Virunga National Park, Mgahinga National Park, and the Rwenzori mountains. After savoring the vistas, descend to meet your safari guide who will take you to the lodge for a delicious lunch. Finally, transfer to Kigali International Airport for your onward journey, leaving with cherished memories of Rwanda’s enchanting landscapes.
